Circus Poster new vs old

Roll up! Roll up! Many years ago I received a commission to design a poster for a circus hat party in Nairobi, Kenya.  I still remember putting it all together very clearly... one of my most fun commissions of that time. 

Here is a new design for this circus theme - revisited...

Just because...

I love the early years of burlesque and have had this floating around my head for a few years now.  I have finally FINALLY put brush to paper and here she is.  My lovely cheeky ostrich!

Commission: Wedding Portrait

A simple illustration for a wedding gift.  The groom hailing from Šibenik represented by the Ivano Castle which overlooks the town. And she was born in Varaždin, represented by its Varaždinska feudal fortress. 

The grapes and olive branch represent the wine and oil growing tradition and the rosemary is a wedding symbol. The bride and groom had a sprig out to their wedding guests as a welcome corsage.
